If your training requires you to engage your steel targets with a center fire rifle at distances closer than 100 yards you should invest in a second plate for your close range handgun engagement training.   

No plate is industructable and shooting them with centerfire rifle at closer than recommended distances will cause some cratering. To cross train with handgun on the same target it is recommended that you first change out the plate to the clean "Handgun" plate.  This way your safety is ensured by not shooting a rifle hardened plate.

NOTE: All TacStrike Full Size Plates are made from AR500 Steel and we make no distinction in rifle or pistol hardness in our manufacturing process.  We build them tough but there are minimum distances that are listed on the terms of usage that are included with every target system.
